This beautiful woman could not wait 6 months for an appointment with me and flew to Florida for her facelift. Unfortunately, she suffered facial nerve injury during her surgery involving the buccal branch and the marginal mandibular branch of the facial nerve. She was paralyzed on the left side of her lower face.

The buccal branch is the most commonly injured branch of the facial nerve during a facelift that controls smiling. The marginal mandibular nerve controls the downward motion of the mouth.
We fixed the asymmetry of the facial movement with Botox and fillers initially. Then we used the KaOgee Jowl Lift and the Massai Neck Lift parts of the Ponytail Lift™ technique to create symmetry in the muscles of the face and fix those incredibly hyperactive platysma bands.
