Doing a plant in a pot's Classic Mode run.
Palutena raised an eyebrow. Chris looked indifferent. Viridi giggled so much people would think she was a gossiping high school girl. All of them staring at the living plant, seemingly looking back at them. "So..." Palutena trailed off.
"I have to say...they really went off the rails bringing a very out there fighter," Chris said. "But...Piranha Plant is just a regular mook." Viridi hit his knee with her staff. "O-oww!"
"Don't you talk down on this valuable plant!" Viridi said. "I've waited so long for this gathering to get one worthy plant from nature, so that everyone learns not to mess with the likes of us!"
"Isn't Ivysaur technically a plant?" Palutena asked.
"Meh. It's gotten old and isn't 100% plant," Viridi said, rolling her eyes.
"T-talk about having skewed preferences," Chris muttered, holding his knee.
"Well, anyway," Palutena began, looking at the plant, "your route is all about fighting the new deals + Rathalos."
"Bleh," Viridi suddenly said. "I get that this gorgeous plant gets to smash the new deals down, but a route like that is too plain. Why not give it something better, like, I don't know, a route full of the most horrible humans + Pit to drive the point home nature is no slouch? Now THAT's something worth watching while eating popcorn," she giggled at the thought.
"Viridi, don't force your views onto others. That's rude."
"I'm juuuuuuust suggesting."
"Sure..." Chris said.
They looked back at the plant staring at them all.
"...So...does it, like...talk or anything," Chris asked dully.
"...Indeed, I do!" the plant spoke up, surprising the trio (and making Viridi fawn). "Heh heh. I was just waiting to see your reactions. Make like a tree and leaf, right?"
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Viridi hollered, holding her sides. Palutena and Chris shared blank looks, unimpressed at her bias.
"Aww, she's so nice," Piranha Plant said, blushing. "It's not every day I get to find out I have fans out there. It's always getting smacked by Mario otherwise..." He sniffed. "I hate my life."
Palutena looked sympathetic. "Oh, yo-"
"You poor, poor thing!" Viridi interrupted, going over to hug the plant. "It's okay. I also deal with pesky troubles every day. I know how you feel."
Piranha Plant hugged her back. "You're so nice! I wonder how you taste," he said. Palutena and Chris were weirded out by that comment, until they saw the plant suddenly gobbling Viridi's head into his mouth.
"H-holy crap!" Chris shrieked.
"Now this is quite the shocking development," Palutena said, looking surprised.
"Whoops," the plant giggled, still with Viridi's head in his mouth. "Sorry. I can't control my chomping urges. Maybe that's why people don't like me much. Er, you okay in there, little girl?" Despite the plant not letting go of Viridi, she didn't scream, and instead, gave him a thumb up. "Oh, good! You understand where I'm getting at."
Seconds passed as Piranha Plant didn't let go of Viridi. "W-would you spit her head out already? This is more disturbing than actually eating her," Chris pleaded, with Palutena nodding. Viridi told them all to shut up, somehow not wanting to come out from his mouth.
Key Notes:
Classic Mode Overview (repeated in every other character video)
Unlike before, you will never start your difficulty at the maximum difficulty (9.9). The limit you can start is at 5.0.
However, depending on how well you do in every fight, the difficulty will steadily increase. The factors that contribute an increase are if you...
1) ...finished the fight as quickly as possible.
2) ...didn't stay put or mess around.
3) ...actually managed to avoid damage altogether (meaning a perfect run, which doesn't really guarantee an extra point).
At best, you can get a whole point (or more) added to difficulty. At worst, you get nothing. "Nice Plays" may just be compliments that usually are around 0.8 additions. Do your best to get to the end of the mural.
Piranha Plant's Final Boss
Rathalos, the other new deal (well, besides Dracula and the others... Don't think too much on that).
Piranha Plant is somewhat of an average fighter. It may move sluggish, but it's got good enough range and power to cause problems on foes.
Its Down-B move, when charged, can be lethal on enemies right above it, as it has a lot of knockback in it. Only use this move when you think it's safe to use it. It's poison cloud can meanwhile put pressure and even combo in some moves, provided you set it up before you get punished.
Piranha Plant is available as an early access to early buyers who registered the physical copy or bought the digital copy of the game. Everyone else has to wait to buy it alone.
It is NOT part of the Season Pass containing Joker and the other four unannounced characters.
Watch, enjoy, and comment, everyone.
