Batman Unchained, also often referred to as Batman Triumphant was a proposed sequel to the film Batman and Robin. The was to be directed by Joel Schumacher and had a script written by Mark Protosevich.

"It would have been very dark", Schumacher recalls, and the film would apparently have focused on George Clooney's Batman 'learning to conquer fear and to confront the demons of his past'.


A suggestion by The AntOne, this trailer focuses on a small part of the proposed film. A one point in the film, Batman would become overwhelmed by the Scarecrow's fear gas and begins hallucinating about the enemies from his past adventure. In the hallucination, Bruce would see the villains judging him in a court, each condemning him for his past actions.

The actors Jack Nicholson, Michelle Pfeiffer, Danny DeVito, Jim Carrey and Tommy Lee Jones were all expected to reprise their roles for this scene.
