Barbarian Challenge June 17, 2023 Full Race with Waterfall!

This is my 3rd time running Barbarian Challenge and I love it every time! The venue is beautiful, the community is amazing, and the obstacles are fun and challenging. Plus, the WATERFALL! The start and finish were right above the waterfall this year, near the campground (the one year we didn't stay there of course), so the layout was a little different this year. It was cool going through the park, although I did not see any animals running with my head down.
I went in to this race wanting to see where I'm at with my running. It's the first race in a while where I didn't have a weight vest or go for hours, and I went out way too fast. After the sandbag carry, I died on the next hill and had trouble maintaining any kind of speed consistently the rest of the way. I'll keep working on getting back to where I need to be and hopefully do better next year.
