Stihl ms400R c-m, NorCal Coast - Real World Testing

Описание к видео Stihl ms400R c-m, NorCal Coast - Real World Testing

Filmed in June, 2022.
At this point, I had done quite a bit of woodlot testing with several of these saws. Short, medium, and long bars. 5 different air filter options. Multiple teeth angles. And, depth gauges ranging from .040 to .060.
Simultaneously, various states of tune as I was "baby-stepping" it up gradually through some of the zippkit levels. I was uncertain what the magnesium piston would tolerate. In addition to, and mostly, what the coating would handle.
I've asked a couple of "higher-ups" in the tech realm for Stihl® about the piston coating. "Nobody" knows for sure what it is. I'm still trying to get confirmation from "someone" that is actually involved in the Stihl regime. As opposed to the "deductive reasoning" line of thinking - that because the motorcycle industry is using a ceramic coating on some of the pistons, "it must be ceramic".
As mentioned, brain fart on the ½ job filming, and missing the face going in... I was preoccupied with paying attention to the saw and how it was functioning. Not to mention, trying to get some "wood on the ground".
At only one day + an hour or two, I "was definitely likin this saw".
30" Oregon lw bar.
1st sharpening on some new, Oregon semi-skip chain.
2nd alteration of the teeth angle setup, "grind".
At the time of your viewing this, I may, or may not, be immediately available for custom saw modifications. I am booked out several months regularly. If you are interested in having a saw zipped, please shoot me an email. That is the best, first point of contact.

Thanks for watching.
