You just got a listen of the Oxblood, from Keeley Electronics. The Oxblood is a response to all the K-style drive pedals on the market, and it vastle opens up the range of the stock circuit. Players no longer have to choose between no drive and low-drive, the Oxblood ranges from totally clean to a dual-horned gain beast, capable of pushing any amp in its path. Two key additions to the Oxblood are the Clipping and Phat switches. The Phat switch toys with the bass response of the Oxblood, from punchy and rich to smooth and lean. The cutting of the bass imparts a hint of harmonics which really pre-heats the cut. The clipping switch toggles between Magical or Mythical diode sets. The Mythical set cuts a little deeper for a compressed, saturated tone that sustains like a champ, while the Magical set lends a more open, chunky rock and roll tone. The Oxblood is carefully engineered for precision mids addition, and it didn't leave the breadboard without turning everyone's heads with its creamy frequency response.
