Understanding How to Divide Rational Numbers | 7.NS.A.2 💚

In this video lesson we will learn the rules for dividing rational numbers. We will review key vocabulary and the Division Properties of Zero and One. We will discover that the rules for dividing rational numbers are the same rules we used for dividing integers. We will learn the Same Sign Rule - when you divide two positive value or two negative values, the quotient will be positive. We will learn the Different Signs Rule - when you divide two values with different signs (one positive and one negative), then the quotient will be negative. We will practice these rules with positive and negative fractions and decimals. Student practice is embedded in the lesson with modeled exemplar solutions.
