Starting a new series of movements from JS Bach's popular French Suite No 5 in G, BWV 816, starting with the Allemande. All to be played on the Roland C-30 digital harpsichord from my new apartment in Liverpool overlooking the Albert Dock. Bach originally incorporated most of the French Suites in the Anna Magdalena's Notebook before finalizing as a simpler, shorter series of suites without preludes, in contrast to the earlier "English Suites". The French Suite No 5 is particularly light and melodic throughout.
