In this video I demonstrate the ELDOA for T8-9. This ELDOA is wonderful for those experiencing mid back pain or for anyone who wishes to take a preventive approach to maintaining the health of their spine.

Steps to do the ELDOA for T8-9 are:
1. Make sure you are well hydrated before you begin an ELDOA practice.
2. Sitting on the floor with your knees bent to 90 degree with your feet on the floor.
3. Place the soles of your feet on the floor and press your big toe and arches of your feet into the floor.
4. Sit your weight equally through both sits bones (ischial tuberosities).
5. Sit tall by lengthening up through your spine.
6. Tuck your chin in and look down towards a spot on the floor about 3 feet in front of your feet.
7. Extend one arm at a time over your head with your both wrists extended and shoulders externally rotated.
8. As you hold the above position envision your upper body pulling T8 up off of T9.
9. Maintain the body in the tension you have created and hold for 10 deep, slow breathes which works out to around 60 seconds.
10. Come out of the position slowly releasing one limb at a time, then relax your chin, pelvis and spine.
