Bob Babbitt on his best! Such a great bassline in this song! It’s got melody; it’s got rhythm. Bob starts easy with his bassline in the first Verse. But alreay in the first Chorus he uses a lot of sixteenth notes. He also plays some fine melodic lines. Listen for instance at bar 21 in the second Verse and bars 37 and 41 in the solo. He also uses some rhythmic licks on almost one note (for instance bar 39 and 49).
Great song to play and it’s certainly a challenge to keep up to speed with Bob!

Please mind that you have to tune your bass aa bit higher to A4 = 443 Hz.

I play this song on a Fender Jazzbass with roundwound strings. Standard E-A-D-G tuning. I’ve used a bit of compression..
