Try this recipe and share your taste.

I am called tora, taikile, chagate in English, Konkani and Kannada respectively.

Taikile ambado is a Konkani cuisine monsoon special. It is also called dangar in Konkani.

In India, it occurs in wasteland rainy season weed and its usual flowering time is after the monsoon rains, during the period of October to February.

Only the tender leaflets of top 2 branches of each tora / taikile plants are used in making this ambodo. After top 2 branches of plants, the leaves are mature, they tend to get bitter in taste.

In place of dry red chilli ( byadgi) you can also use other dry red chilli available. This dish is very easy to make and good for health too.

Amgel “JIBBE RUCHI” kay un na.
