In a shocking case that stunned the seasoned officers of the New York City Police Department, Olga Svik, a 35-year-old Ukrainian immigrant and beauty therapist, reported being robbed after consuming a poisoned cheesecake brought by a client named Viktoria Nerova. Olga fell ill, experiencing severe dizziness and nausea, and lost consciousness after Viktoria's visit. Upon awakening, she discovered valuable items missing and reported the incident to the police. Initially skeptical, the police dismissed her claims, suspecting drug use.

However, new details emerged when a neighbor witnessed Viktoria acting suspiciously around Olga's apartment. Investigations revealed that Viktoria had a history of targeting individuals, drugging them with psychoactive substances, and stealing their valuables. The case took a darker turn when it was discovered that Viktoria had been involved in the disappearance and suspected murder of Nadia Ford's mother, Alla Alexenko, back in Russia.

Viktoria's trail of deceit and crime spanned multiple victims, including Ruben Barakov, who had a similar poisoning experience. Private investigators and police eventually tracked Viktoria down in Brooklyn, New York, where she was living under a false identity, planning further crimes.

In 2017, Viktoria was arrested and, despite denying all charges, was found guilty of attempted second-degree murder in 2023. She received a 21-year prison sentence and will face further charges in Russia upon her release.
