Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) Technology in Motorsport

This video looks at the application of Surface Acoustic Wave, or SAW sensor technology in motorsport applications. It can be used to accurately and reliably measure engine torque, electric motor torque, gearbox torque, and driveshaft torques.

This can either be for championship regulation ensuring that the teams are competing within the rules, or for performance enhancement where permitted by championship regulations.
