Scholar and translator Lâu Îng-sîng (劉盈成) was born in 1971 in Kaoshiung, Taiwan. He received his M.A. in Philosophy and a Ph.D. in Chinese Literature from the National Tsing Hua University of Taiwan, and is now an assistant professor at this university.

His translations include “Tales of the Alhambra”(2018) and “Not to Scale”(2021). His new translation “Dubliners” is being published by Avanguard Publishing House in Taiwan in October 2022. This will be the first translated version in Taiwanese, of “Dubliners” in the world.
