Meet Celeste.
Growing up with a mom who wasn’t that active in the Jehovah’s Witnesses and a dad who was disfellowshipped most of her life and then died when she was 14, one would think that Celeste would leave the organization, but she didn’t. According to religious standards, she and her siblings were very “spiritual.” She and her sister served where the need was great, and her brother moved to a foreign language congregation. 

At 18, she was a regular pioneer and served at the sign language congregation. At 20, she married and then moved to Alaska with her husband. She talks about how she woke up and what led her to divorce her husband at 25.

Celeste is full of life and is thriving in her work as an artist and activist.
