A walkthrough for the third and final Lego Island game. Before anyone asks how I got this game to work, I use Windows XP with compatibility set to Windows 98/ME. I didn't do anything else besides that, and from what I know the game refuses to run on Vista and 7. So please don't ask. With that said, this is not a 100% walkthrough; there's simply way too much to collect for my liking, and I'd probably balloon this up to 4 hours if I did make a 100% walkthrough. This is unfortunately the least known game in the series. I'll get into why I think it's a shame, but right now I'll just focus on the walkthrough itself. For those who don't know, this game is about making a movie and filming five different "stunts". Well, that's the main part of it anyway. The other half of the game centers around collecting items, fetch quests, and various other side quests. The red bricks scattered through the island are brickimals, and the gold ones are brickimal hearts. The hearts give you the ability to place animals into the random "sandboxes" scattered throughout. You need enough brickimals in order to do so. There's also character cards and several side-quests you can complete. As for the main objectives, you have to get enough LAFTAs in order to unlock more stunts. There are two secret LAFTAs on the island as well, and I ended up getting both.
Freeway Frenzy: I love this minigame. It's fast-paced and hectic. The goal is to ram the Brickster enough times. I think the rest of it speaks for itself.
Motorbike Mayhem: ARGH. I really dislike this one. It's very glitchy and is based for too much on trial and error. You race the Brickster to see who can finish first. You can also perform stunts to get boosts. I restarted quite a bit on the silver and gold LAFTAs for this game.
Wave Catcher: Another really fun one, except maybe on gold. It's another race, except on a jet ski.
Air Chase: I decided to just get one LAFTA for this one. Anyway, this is another one I love, mostly because the music is AWESOME.
Ripcord Rescue: Again, I just got one LAFTA. Easy stuff, although I thought I wasn't going to land on the target for a second.
The final minigame: I stupidly jumped off the edge at one point because I wanted to see if I could save myself. I'm an idiot. Whatever, this minigame is quite fun. Too bad you can't replay it.
On vehicle side-quests, I often got out by mistake because I have that key mapped to Control, and I kept mistaking that key for the brakes. Oh well.
If it weren't for nostalgia saving me, I'd say this is the best game in the series. I have a preference for Lego Island 1, but this one is the most fun to play. It combines many elements from the first and second game and brings them together, as well as fixing almost all the problems LI2 had. Even though it only had 6 minigames that were tied to the plot, I'd take it over 14 boring and sometimes frustrating minigames. I also like that they brought back L.E.G.O. radio. The music in this game is also really catchy and enjoyable. In fact the only thing I feel wasn't really improved on was the voice acting, but other than that it's fantastic. It's really quite a shame this is the least-known game in the series, because it makes LI2 feel cheap.
