Hoka Cielo X 1: An Unconventional Supershoe

The Hoka Cielo X 1 has been available to the public for about a week, and it has stirred rhetoric pot on social media among running shoe enthusiasts. Can it be a race day consideration with the weight specs it touts? Does the ride and the fun factor outweigh the weight? I put it through its paces (all of them) to give my opinion.
