We Hiked This So You Don't Have To (Miaspoort/Italian Cross)

In this video we hike The Miaspoort, or Italian Cross / Huguenot Peak, trail just outside of Wellington and Paarl, South Africa.

It is not an easy trail; the poorly maintained trail with loose rocks, combined with the steep incline and thorns makes for a difficult start.

For this trail we recommend that you thoroughly prepare by ensuring that you wear long sleeves, long pants, have hiking poles at hand, shoes with plenty of grip and plenty of water.

This is a 9.5km out and back trail with a total elevation gain of 835 meters, and most of it is in the first 2km.

It's a difficult trail however you will be rewarded with beautiful views. We hope that you enjoy the video.
