Bappa’s favorite Ukadiche Modak 🙏🏻🌺

Here’s the step-by-step recipe for you:

Ingredients:
• Ghee
• Desiccated coconut
• Jaggery
• Poppy seeds
• Cardamom powder
• Raisins
• Cashews, almonds & walnuts
• Pumpkin seeds & watermelon seeds
• Rice flour
• Water
• Salt
• Milk
• Saffron

Method:
1. Heat ghee on a low flame. Add desiccated coconut, jaggery, poppy seeds, cardamom powder, raisins, seeds, and dry fruits. Stir until well roasted.
2. Grind the seeds and dry fruits into a coarse mixture. Add them to the pan and mix well.
3. In another pan, take 1 cup rice flour, 1 cup water, and a pinch of salt. Mix well and keep aside.
4. Boil milk with ghee, then add it to the rice flour and mix.
5. Cover for 5–10 minutes, then knead the dough with ghee until soft.
6. Grease the modak mould with ghee. Fill with dough, add the coconut-jaggery mixture in the center, and shape into modaks.
7. Steam the modaks for 10 minutes and garnish with saffron.
