ಇತ್ತಿತ್ತಲಾಗಿ ಯಂತ್ರಗಳ ಸಹಾಯದಿಂದ ಕೃಷಿ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮ ಕುರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಕಸ ಕಡ್ಡಿ ಸಿಗುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ಹೊಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಳುಗಳು ಸೇರಿ ಕಸ ತೆಗೆಯುವ ಪದ್ಧತಿಗಳಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮ ಕುರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಆಹಾರವಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಮತ್ತು ಊರಿನ ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತ ಲೇಔಟ್ ಗಳಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಕೃಷಿ ಭೂಮಿ ಕಡಿಮೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ಕುರಿಗಳ ಅಂಕೆ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ಲೆಕ್ಕ ನೋಡಿದರೆ ನಾವು ಕೋಟ್ಯಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳೇ, ಆದರೆ ಈ ಲೆಕ್ಕಾಚಾರವು ನಮ್ಮ ಜೀವನದ ವೈಭೋಗಕ್ಕಲ್ಲ. ನಾವು ದಿನನಿತ್ಯ ಮಳೆಗಾಳಿ ಬಿಸಲುಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ರೋಗರುಜಿನಿಗಳ ಮಧ್ಯ ಬಯಲು ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಬದುಕುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಭವಿಷ್ಯ ಮುಂದಿನ ನಮ್ಮ ತಲೆಮಾರುಗಳು ಕುರಿ ಗಾಹಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಮುಂದಿನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿಯುವುದು ಕಷ್ಟ ಸರ್ ಎಂದು ಮಾಳಪ್ಪ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ನಿಜ ಎನಿಸಿತು.
