Namkeen Gosht is a popular meat recipe originating from Baluchistan and other areas of NWFP, including Quetta and Peshawar
It is typically prepared during special occasions like Eid-ul-Azha (Badi Eid) or for family gatherings
The dish is made with meat (usually mutton or beef) cooked in a mixture of spices, yogurt, ginger, garlic, and black pepper

Namkeen Gosht is often served hot with naan bread and can be garnished with parsley or chutney


Ingredients

1 and 1/2 kg goat meat on the bone
3 tbs. oil
1 tbs. minced ginger
1 tbs. minced garlic
1 tsp. freshly ground pepper
1 tsp. salt

Chopped cilantro and extra black pepper to finish

Instructions:
Heat oil and add goat meat and fry until colour changes

Add ginger and garlic. Cook for 5-7 minutes until well seared.

Add green chillies and salt and mix well.

Add 3 to 4 cup water and cover, cooking for 45 minutes to or until meat is tender
Serve garnished with cilantro green chilli and ginger

Optional Instant Pot Instructions:
1. Start on saute mode, adding 3/4 cup water and setting for 40 minutes
2. Allow natural release, then turn back to saute to allow sauce to thicken.
3. Serve garnished with cilantro
