How your eyes affect your hip joints (Advanced movement class)

This is an advanced lesson (needs some experience), in which we explore the relationship between the eyes and the hip joints – and how the relaxation of the eyes might also relax (open) the hip joints.

I am so happy that I was able to recover this video. The hard drive on which I stored the video and audio recordings failed (maybe a defective chip or contact on the hard drive control board) and it seemed like I lost my work. After a few days of trying to recover my files I gave up and had the broken hard drive sitting in the cupboard. However, today I gave it one more try and low and behold, luckily I was able to extract the missing data! I finished editing and here you are ... enjoy !

Somatic education is a field within bodywork and movement studies which emphasizes internal physical perception and experience. The term is used in movement therapy to signify approaches based on the soma, or "the body as perceived from within," including Alexander technique, the Feldenkrais Method, and Rolfing. In dance, the term refers to techniques based on the dancer's internal sensation, in contrast with "performative techniques".
