In this video, I will take you on a tour of Tribeni and Kuntighat. Both the places are in Hooghly District. I had started my journey from Magra. From there I went to Kuntighat Hanging Bridge. The bridge was established in the era of the Nawab regime.

After spending some time there, I reached Rayon Birla Temple. The temple was closed so I didn't get the opportunity to shoot. The temple timings are 5.30AM to 9.30 AM and 5PM to 9PM.

From Birla temple, I reached Tribeni Confluence. Many years ago, it was the meeting point of the 3 Bengal rivers. Ganga, Jamuna, and Saraswati. Thy the name was given Tribeni. There was a reference to Tribeni in the "Manasamangal". Chand Sadagar used this river route for his business.

Then I had visited the Zafar Khan Ghazi Mosque and Darga. It was established in the year 1298. The construction was not conventional, some parts of the mosque were constructed from Hindu Temple panels. On the wall of the Darga, some sculptures of Hindu deities are clearly visible. It is one of the oldest Islamic Architecture in Bengal.

My last destination of the trip was Dakat Kalibari, Baghati. It is related to the famous Raghu Dakat. The temple premise is open all the time, you can come and visit the deity.

How to reach: The best way to reach here is by Local Train. Board Katwa Local from Howrah/Sealdah and get down at Kuntighat. Just 2 stations from Bandel. All the destinations are nearby. Toto service is available.
