The Coolabah Hat

This hat is so Australian, it’s even mentioned in “Waltzing Matilda”. An easy to wear style, the Coolabah is a real head turner – with its signature saltwater corocdile hat band, each one is unique.

The Coolabah has a 79mm brim, with a cut edge. The inner is satin lined, with a supple leather sweatband, embossed in gold with the Akubra name.

As with all Akubra hats, the Coolabah is hand-crafted in Australia and takes six weeks to make, using traditional, old-school processes which have changed little in 140 years. Made from 100% rabbit felt fur, all Akubra hats are water resistant and offer the ultimate in sun protection.
