Delicious, soft and spongy Oreo Cake is a kids' favorite. Made with oreo cookies and rich dark chocolate, this is a delight. Come, let's learn the recipe for an easy, eggless, simple yet equally delicious Oreo Cake. :)

Ingredients:-

For the Oreo Sponge:-

2 cups all-purpose flour/ plain flour/ maida
2 tbsp cocoa powder
1.5 cups powdered sugar
1 cup curd/ yoghurt/ dahi
1 cup milk
½ cup olive oil/ any unflavoured oil
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp pure vanilla extract
1.5 tsp baking soda
1.5 tsp vinegar
6 oreo biscuits each chopped into quarters

For the whipping cream:-

1 cup heavy whipping cream
6-8 oreo biscuits powdered in a grinder
3 tbsp powdered sugar

3-4 tbsp dark chocolate ganache, for decoration

Method:-

Preparation of Oreo Sponge Cake:-

Take 2 cups all-purpose flour/ plain flour/ maida
Sift the flour well to remove lumps
Take 2 tbsp cocoa powder
Sift the cocoa powder well to remove lumps
Mix well
Add 1.5 cups powdered sugar
Mix well
Add 1 cup curd/ yoghurt/ dahi
Mix well
To the batter, add 1 cup milk
Mix well
Next, add ½ cup olive oil/ any unflavoured oil
Mix well
If cake batter appears to be dense, add 2-3 tbsp milk
Add 2 tsp baking powder
Mix well
Add 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
Mix well
Add 1.5 tsp baking soda
Add 1.5 tsp vinegar
Mix well
Add 6 oreo biscuits each chopped into quarters
Mix well
Grease an 8” cake tin with some olive oil
Dust some flour on the cake tin
Pour the cake batter on the greased cake tin and bake the cake at around 180C in a preheated oven for around 30-35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean
Once cake is baked properly, check with a toothpick/ knife whether cake is properly baked
Run a knife through the edges of the cake
Invert the cake tin and remove the cake on plate

Note:- Similarly prepare another cake with the remaining cake batter
Note:- Refrigerate the cakes for a minimum of 2-3 hours

Preparation of whipped cream:-

Take 1 cup heavy whipping cream
To the cream, add 6-8 oreo biscuits powdered in a grinder
Add 3 tbsp powdered sugar
Beat cream until stiff peaks form

Levelling and assembling of cake:-

Using a serrated knife, remove the top uneven portion of cake
Divide the cake into 2 equal layers

Note:- Similarly divide the other cake

Apply some whipping cream on the first layer of cake and coat the top of the layer it completely
Place the other layers one by one on top of each iced cake layer and repeat the same procedure
At last, ice the sides of the cake
Using a bench scraper or a palette knife smoothen the icing
Take 3-4 tbsp dark chocolate ganache
With a spoon, pour the ganache on the edges of the cake like this
Place the rest of the whipped cream in a piping bag fitted with a star nozzle
Pipe some rosettes on the top of the cake
Pipe some rosettes on the bottom of the cake
Place some whole oreo biscuits to decorate the cake
Cut the cake using a sharp knife
