How to do Salute to the Sun (Surya Namaskar) stepping back - Surya Namaskar - Salute to the Sun - is a dynamic practice where we mobilise the whole body. In this practice we'll learn how to move through this sequence by stepping back one leg at a time.

Names of the poses in this sequence of Surya Namaskar (in order of sequence):
Tadasana - Mountain Pose
Urdhva Hastasana - Upward Arm Pose
Uttansana - Intense Stretch Pose
Anjaneyasana - low lunge Pose
Adho Mukha Svanasana - Downward Facing Dog Pose
Ardha Chaturanga Dandasana - Half Four Limbed Rod Pose
Urdhva Mukha Svanasana - Upward Facing Dog Pose
Adho Mukha Svanasana - Downward Facing Dog Pose
Anjaneyasana - low lunge Pose
Uttansana - Intense Stretch Pose
Urdhva Hastasana - Upward Arm Pose
Tadasana - Mountain Pose
