Another bassline which has got the signature of John McVie. It’s got a steady groove and he varies a lot during the song. He uses some tricky sixteenth notes as in bars 9 and 16. And I like the slides he uses as in bars 4 and 20 very much, and especially the slide in bar 46. Where John uses quarter notes and quarter and a halve notes in the Verse he uses eight notes in the Bridge. And in the solo of the outro John plays most of the eight notes an octave higher than in the rest of the song. It might seem like small differences but I think this shows the musical talent from John McVie: always supporting the song and making small differences in choice of notes and rhythm that at first won’t be seen/heard but makes a lot of difference!
