In Nanumaga island in Tuvalu, where 500 people live, they still make their own canoes for daily fishing.This is Uncle Sikiga, and Granpa Osie of my host family there.
The movie of these handmade canoes on the ocean will be posted, too.
I have been staying in remote islands in Tuvalu since 2004.
This is from our (I and my 4 yr. old daughter then) first stay in Nanumaga island.
