Dissidia 012: Duodecim - Shantotto vs. 000 Feral Chaos (Perfect Run)

Those who know me well know that I absolutely adore Shantotto. While I was pleased enough with my earlier run (it was only my third video against Feral Chaos), it bothered me that I still hadn't made a true perfect run with my main yet. So here it is!

I went with Shantotto's EX mode for the critical hit rate boost and Manafont. Yes, I know Manafont has been nerfed immensely (imagine how this would have went with the original Manafont), but it still helps. 012 Manafont doesn't actually work like the Mandragora summonstone, but more like EXP to Brv. It doesn't make you recover back to base brv; instead, it ADDS your base brv to your current brv. That means if you hit your opponent with an assist after an HP attack, the brv damage wasn't "wasted" by your recovering to base brv. Thus, Manafont did add some extra damage on top of everything, allowing me to take advantage of both assist damage and Bravery Regen.

Shantotto's damage output is actually better than you'd imagine, especially here, where it's so easy to accumulate brv. With Manafont adding 1100+ brv to each attack, I can hit her tier 2 spells with great regularity during the chains. The brv damage caused by her HP chains are no joke; any tier 2 chain already does more damage than any fully charged, perfectly executed Jecht Stream combo. Add on the fact that Shantotto has the highest natural ATK of any character not named Feral Chaos (or EX mode Gabranth), and you can see some nice numbers in this fight. (Well, technically she's tied with Jecht, but who's counting?)
