Scales & Tales - Major Scale Mastery

Описание к видео Scales & Tales - Major Scale Mastery

Here's the next episode of Scales & Tales with Major Scale Mastery. As I admitted in this video, I realized that I was pretty harsh regarding the major scale (and major tonalities/keys) when I created the minor scale version of this episode. It's not that I never use these flavors and sounds - I just prefer minor-flavored music and sounds that you hear occurring frequently in music. So those previous comments regarding the major scale weren't a usage "thing" - it's was more a musical preference "thing."

This lesson focuses on the most common major scale tonalities that you'll find in music. From the basic steps related to the major pentatonic scale to the ever-popular Ionian mode (a.k.a. "the major scale"). From there, things move toward a number of major tonality modal scales that you'll find frequently used in music - such as Lydian, Mixolydian, Lydian Dominant, and Phrygian Dominant (to be specific).

While you can find many other major tonality scales being used in music by various musicians covering a wide range of musical styles and genres, the scales we're focusing on and targeting in this are the most common and popular that you'll find in various forms of music surrounding a major key.
From rock and jazz to classical, blues, metal, country, and more - these are the sounds you're probably searching for. From here you can dive deep by expanding this information to include even more scales and tonalities that are available in music.
