Calming down deep hip rotators

We have been talking a lot lately about deep hip rotators and today I wanted to dive into a couple of my favorite mobilization and active range of motion exercises to help open the back of the hip.

Before you watch the video grab something you can squeeze (a foam roller, yoga block, pillow, kids ball, towel roll, kid (lol)...the possibilities are endless) and a circle band (or something you can tie in a loop for resistance) and give these three exercises a try.

We are going to work on opening up the back of the hip and getting your hip rotators to eccentrically lengthen to help them relax.
