Deep Dive into Pilates Series - Video 5/10.

This is the 3rd Tutorial video in the Deep Dive into Pilates Beginner tutorial series. This tutorial is on 'Core'. Where is your core? What is your core made of? The core or also known in Pilates as the Powerhouse or Center. It is so much more than your 6 pack of abdominal muscles. Training your core optimally is not all about focusing on crunches and abdominal exercises. Your core is made of abdominal muscles, deep back muscles, and hip flexors muscles. You will learn how they move and work together to control and move the center of your body. On top of those muscle groups, the pelvic floor muscles also play a great role in maintaining a strong core.
