BANANA DREAMBOATS are the chocolatey, marshmallowy dessert of my dreams | cozy campfire cooking

this one come from the wayback. i remember rolling up banana dreamboats on the campire when i was a little girl, always preferring them to smores. they are guaranteed to scorch your mouth eaten straight from the banana boat so i'd recommend doing the adult thing and decanting into a mug, which also means you can add so much more chocolate and marshmallow.

you can mix the add-ins up in these to your heart's content. try some nutella, or peanut butter, or add a reese's cup. go for more fruit or white chocolate, or even add crumbles of cookie. I'm a fan of the traditional, which is just bananas and marshmallows and chocolate.

you don't need a lot of direct heat for these, so separate out some coals and watch them closely. you'll hear them start to sizzle when they're getting close and can feel that the banana has softened up when they're done.

and don't forget to mallow your dog - they deserve a treat, too. pet them for me.
