Paint It Blak

Director of the 100% First-Nations and female-owned Garlett Group, Emma Garlett is a Nyungar-Nyiyaparli-Yamatji woman.

Emma is also a First Nations leader, a Teaching Fellow at the Law School at the University of Western Australia, and an Adjunct Professor at Federation University.

Her extensive experience includes legal practice at a top-tier law firm and strategy work at BHP.

A columnist with The West Australian newspaper, with published works in peer reviewed academic journals, Emma is dedicated to ensuring Indigenous perspectives are integral to shaping impactful solutions.

In Paint it Blak, Emma applies an Indigenous lens to current issues and seeks to educate others to bring them on a journey of reconciliation to make a better Australia for all.
