When the island pastor leaves after his tenure of 4 years, women weave decorative mats and make traditional leaf skirts for his family. All the locals cook and serve them with heaps of fresh coconuts. They perform traditional island dances called 'FATELE'.

I have been staying on remote islands in Tuvalu since 2004.
